The milk simmered in the pot.
Turning off the heat, I stirred in chocolate, watching as it melted. I wasn't sure what I was going to use this ganache for, but I'd felt like making it.
At the very lest, I'd be able to pour some of it over ice cream and brownies to make a tasty dessert tonight.
Maybe I'd make some truffles with the rest, though that was perhaps more effort than I was willing to go into today. Luckily, the ganache would keep well for a while, and soften back to a melted state with little difficulty.
If I ran out of ideas, I could always invite some friends over and let them dip little treats into it.
Sometimes, it was the process of creating that I enjoyed more than the final result.
